What are eharmony Icebreakers?

Icebreakers are particularly useful on occasions when interaction and user comfort are vital. These actions help break barriers in the dating site conversation. An icebreaker may get people chatting, make them laugh, and give them a sense of security, to begin with.

When two people are unfamiliar with one another, an icebreaker will help them in introducing themselves and or starting a conversation. Two Truths and a Lie is a popular icebreaker. This game relieves tension in the group by allowing matches to learn facts about one another. It’s also a good way to start a conversation and get people more comfortable with you.

Free Icebreakers have been added to eHarmony’s dating service. Non-paying and paying users can choose from 11 pre-written brief messages to send to their matches. Simple words such as “Great pic…love to see more pics!” are used as icebreakers. Most icebreakers will either ask you a question or require you to do something, such as talk or request a chat.

In this blog, you will get to know about the icebreakers that eHarmony offers you. I will tell you what it is, how it works and what are some of the icebreakers it has. So, without any further delay let’s get to the point!

What are eharmony Icebreakers?

Members have a variety of communication choices, including icebreakers. Icebreakers are a great method to “break the ice” if you’re not quite ready to begin a full-fledged conversation via a message. Icebreakers can be sent from a variety of locations within your account.

Through the matches tab: If a match is on your Matches Tab, you can send an Ice Cream Cone to that match from the Homepage by clicking the Ice Cream Cone icon. You can also look into their profile by clicking on the match. Simply select the “send an icebreaker” symbol directly above the Inbox tab from within a Match’s profile.

Through the Messages tab: The icebreaker button will appear in the messages pane. Click it. When you choose to send an icebreaker, you will be given 5 photo pairs to choose from. For each one, pick your favourite. When you’re finished, your match will receive them and will be able to do the same. You’ll be able to see how similar your choices are once you’ve made them both.

How does icebreaker in eHarmony works?

Seeking out potential matches can put even the most seasoned daters in a rut, which is why eHarmony included a feature, the Icebreaker, based on users input over the last few years, so you may make the initial move with complete confidence.

This is how it works:

  1. Five pairs of photographs will be displayed to you.
  2. Pick your favourite photograph and send it to a match.
  3. After that, your partner will be able to make their own choices, and you will both be able to see the results.
  4. When your match sends an Icebreaker, you’ll get a fresh notification in your “New Messages” section.
  5. You have the option of viewing the results, taking your own Icebreaker, or sending a message.
  6. You may also be asked to play with another match.

Note: If your match used an icebreaker, you may view the results in the “New Messages” section. Any results in the messages area can be accessed at any time by clicking the “Results” button.

The bottom line

The problem is that using these may have an expression on your match that you’re either too shy to communicate, that you’re a woman who observes the “I don’t call guys” rule, or that you’re not a paid member of eHarmony.

If you don’t want to use the icebreakers eHarmony offers then you can simply make up one and text your match. I have written down 100+ icebreakers for you already, do check out my blog if you aren’t able to think of the best icebreaker due to nervousness.

All the best. I hope this was helpful.
